Update

About a month ago we launched our developer beta, which opened up our API to a select few of developers.

Since then, with the help of them and you awesome users out there, we have made a bunch of improvements and updates! Such as:

  • iPhone optimized website
  • Beautiful Fusion ads
  • Media box
  • A whole lot of bug fixes
  • Integration into Weet for iPhone, with more in the pipeline

We are moving very fast and improving twtmore everyday. Stay tuned for more!

Big news! Our developer beta has launched! Soon you will start seeing twtmore in some of your favorite apps. Some awesome stuff you’ll be able to do now:
Tweet twtm.in’s with links to photos and the photos show up in twtmore’s media box!
Tweet code surrounded with <code> </code> brackets and your code will be automatically displayed specially
Reference someone in your twtm.in (ex. “@wsttn”) and it will automatically be linked to that user
And more…
Now, since this is a beta, we are missing a couple features we are perfecting. Some of those include:
iPhone optimized pages
Media box support for more services
Tweeting twtm.in’s straight from twtmore.com
Managing and editing your twtm.in’s
Integration into many other apps
And more…
We hope you will love using us.

Contest

While preparing for the twtmore launch, the team came up with a little contest for all you guys to participate in.

Do you want to know how to participate? It’s very simple. Just post a tweet to twitter with our URL (http://twtmore.com) in it. You can tell people to sign up, you can tell them how awesome the page looks, you can say anything! The URL just has to be in the tweet. Here’s an example:

OMG, @TWTMORE IS SO AWESOME I LEIK IT A LOT OMGZZZZ CHECK IT OUT AT HTTP://TWTMORE.COM LOL I LOVE IT. JUSTIN BEIBER 4 LIFE ALSO

We’d appreciate if you didn’t sound like a pre-pubescent, annoying little teenager, but you get the point. Enter as many times as you want! We’ll choose three winners randomly from all the tweets. Check out some of the latest submissions!

What do you win, you ask? You will win… something very special and awesome. We’re not going to give it away yet, but don’t worry, you’ll love it.

UPDATE: If you win, you’ll get some awesome applications for free, like Things for Mac, Cinch, some software by Many Tricks, and some other super secret special stuff :D.

What exactly is twtmore?

We have not really told you guys exactly what we do, and as a result, a lot of you guys have been asking: what is twtmore? I’ll explain a  scenario in which you might want to use us.

Johnny is writing a tweet for twitter to explain a looonnggg story to all of his followers. Sadly, his tweet is way over the 140 character limit that twitter enforces. What will he do!? Well, he can either go to Twitlonger (ew!) or he can head on over to twtmore.com, submit is tweet there, and twtmore will handle the rest. What exactly will we do? We will take that long tweet, host it on our site, then post a tweet from Johnny’s account with a short preview of the long tweet, and a link to the tweet which is hosted on twtmore. It’s a lot simpler than I am making it seem, but it just works. Luckily for Johnny, all of his followers will be able to read is long, most likely very boring story.

Do you get it? We are essentially a better/faster/more stable/awesome-r version of Twitlonger. Over the years of using their service, we steadily got fed-up with the constant downtime, slow load times, and the bland and boring design. No offence to them, but we just thought we could do it better- and we are.

If you are a developer who would like to build our strong, stable API into your app, or if you’re just someone who’s interested in being a user after we launch, just head over to http://twtmore.com and sign up with your email, we’ll get in touch with you if you respond to the “welcome” email we send you :D.

If you have any further questions, don’t hesitate to tweet us, email us at hi@twtmore.com, or send a public question using tumblr’s ask feature.
